The Federation of Ampfield & John Keble C of E Primary Schools

School Meals

School dinners are freshly prepared in our kitchen at John Keble School each day by staff employed by HC3S. The meals are then transported in 'hot boxes' to Ampfield where they are checked and served to our children.

Under a current government funding scheme, all children in Year R, 1 and 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals. Some families in receipt of benefits may be entitled to receive free school meals for children in KS2 also, so please talk to us if you think that could apply to you.

Children select their meal each day at morning registration from a menu that operates on a three week cycle; there is always a choice of vegetarian or non-vegetarian food. If you know your child will be late in from an appointment, it is helpful if you let the office know of your child’s lunch choice before 9:30am.

Current School Menu

School dinners are £2.80 per day unless you are eligible for a free school lunch.

Allergies

The standard primary school menu is nut free. Other allergies require a child to be registered and medical evidence provided. HC3S are able to provide dairy, soya, wheat and gluten and egg free meals. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding food and allergies in school.

Primary Menu in English and other languages

The Primary Menu from HC3S is currently available in the following languages: Bulgarian, English, Farsi, Hungarian, Nepalese, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian and Ukrainian. Click here to access HC3S translated menus.
